Latisse Could be a Promising Treatment for Thinning Hair

Thousands of people deal with hair loss each day. Whether the cause is aging, stress, hormones or because of medical treatment, hair loss is no party.

Now, men and women may have another solution to restore their thinning hair. Latisse, the drug known for regrowing eyelashes, is now in trials for use as a hair loss treatment.

Dr. Alan Bauman, a board-certified hair restoration specialist in Boca Raton, Florida who has used Latisse for a "couple dozen" of his patients, told Today Health, “Patients who were using it for eyelashes sometimes have eyebrow problems, so it’s a short hop to the eyebrows. So, of course, if it was working there, too – from the eyebrows, it’s just a short hop to the hairline.”

This certainly makes sense, but experts warn that the treatment won't work for those who have already gone bald, which may be disappointing to some, but hair transplant surgery is still a good option for these patients.
